I love boutique shopping. The things that you find at a boutique are unique - it's pretty unlikely that anyone else is going to have them.  Not only that, but the business model of a boutique is pretty awesome too - entrepreneurial people, supporting smaller clothing makers and sharing their style.  I think that's pretty cool, and it's definitely something I want to support.

The Mint Julep Boutique fits that business models.  Kylie and Ami were kind enough to reach out to me about collaborating with them, and once I checked out their shop, it was a no brainer.  What I love the most about Mint Julep is that it caters to all sorts of styles - their pieces are staples that fit into any wardrobe. I'm a sucker for anything crochet. This crochet cardigan is officially my favorite transition piece for that awkward time between summer and fall - the open weave makes it breezy enough to wear during the day, but it adds an extra layer to take off the chill at night.  Plus, the crochet trend is on point right now, and cardigans happen to be one of my all-time favorite articles of clothing.

Welcome to Over Mountains!  I am so excited to be launching this blog.  I'm ready to use everything I've learned in the last year of blogging as well as learn a whole lot more.

Over Mountains is really a reflection of what I'm feeling right now.  There are mountains and valleys, and I'm learning not to lose hope in either season.  The deeper the valley, the higher the mountain you're about to be raised over, and both places have valuable lessons to teach.

There are a couple cool new features as well.  All the images now have a "pin it" button that pops up in the top right corner when you roll over it to make pinning easier, and there's a "faves around the web" widget on the left where you can shop some of my favorite products from all over!

To celebrate, I'm giving away a leather pendant from my etsy shop!  All items in my shop are made from reclaimed and upcycled materials - I love taking things that have run their course or that can't be worn any more and making them into something entirely new and different. This necklace is one of my favorite pieces in the shop.
