Last weekend we went to visit our parents, and mom and I went to the farmer's market to do some plant shopping.  I have since confirmed that greenhouses are some of my favorite places.

I have also decided that when we have a house I want a hibiscus tree.

I almost bought this globe, and now I'm kind of upset that I didn't.

If you're in the North Alabama area you should stop by Reed's! They have great prices on herbs, flowers, and succulents, and even some starter veggie plants.

I have long stuck up my nose at the romper.  I was loud about my opinion that it looked like something a toddler would wear.  But really, who's more comfortable than a toddler? Nobody, that's who.
So I decided to try it.  And now there's no going back.
It's like a dress, but more current. Add cute shoes, a hat, and some jewelry, and you're good to go.

Here's my first outfit post of summer! I am so happy to be done with school and to know that my last name will be different the next time I'm in class :))
This is super simple and comfy, perfect for this weather which is still kinda rainy.
Also my bangs are crazytown right now, and I'm not sure it I really like them braided back like this, but I'm experimenting with ways to get them out of my face.

I have begun the exhilarating, fraught-with-vows-to-diet process of buying swimwear.
It is a time I both enjoy and loath.  Seeing all the cute stuff is exciting because it makes me think of fruity drinks and vacation (especially this year - honeymoon!), but seeing my less-than-stellar bod actually wearing the cute stuff can be... discouraging.
I am making moves to correct this. I did Insanity yesterday and ALL OF THE MUSCLES are screaming at me today.  But it feels good. Feels like my calves are on fire, but still... feels good.  I'm going to do Insanity on Tuesdays and Thursdays and my regular strength circuits every other day. Then I'll do something like swim or hike on the weekends :) And I'm watching portions so that should help to!
The way my body is proportioned (long torso, big ol' childbearing hips, and only about an inch of space between my rib cage and my hips), regular itty-bitty bikinis don't do much for me.  However, longline ones look great, if I do say so myself!
What's longline, you ask?
It's this:
dark blue top: F21//pineapple bottoms: F21//blue suit: Macy's

Somewhere between a bikini and a tankini, and perfect for hiding my awkwardly long rib cage!
I really recommend this fit for those of us who are flat-bellied but don't have much of a "curve" to our waistline - the longer line of the top creates a curve by hitting where one would be.
Unfortunately, these holy grails of swimwear are rather difficult to find.  I've found a couple cute ones at Forever 21 and Macy's (pictured), and also at Topshop and Nordstrom.
The denim top and pineapple bottoms pictured are my first two summer purchases of the season! I can't wait to get them in the mail!  Until then, it's lots of sweat and smoothies to make sure I look alright in them.

This top and these jeans I got on clearance for less than 15 bucks each.
Yippee!
Also I am diggin this headband by Pink Pewter. It perfectly disguises the fact that I haven't washed my hair in 3 days.  And there are a ton of ways to wear it!

The weather around here has been gorgeous so I have been baring my pasty(and in need of toning) legs to the sun!
This is an outfit I throw on when I don't wanna think about it... I've been a big fan of army green lately. It's a little more interesting than plain old denim but just as easy to pair with everything!
Also, everyone should have a black and white striped top. Goes with everything, easy to throw on.

Please enjoy Caleb's thumb in the corner. We're learning, people.

Also I found a way to put my medium length, layered hair in a side braid and make it stay - post on that tomorrow!
