Everyone has their "thing" that they look for when they're buying clothes. You're a cropped tee person or you like your tops longer. You like small back pockets, bigger back pockets, no back pockets. Wedges, stilettos, or flats.


My thing is pockets.

All dresses can be made better with pockets. INCLUDING wedding dresses - I tried one on and had it been just a lil more fairy-princess, I totally would have went for it.

I loved it so much I spun around in it. Like a lot.

I got this baby on etsy and I can't wait for it to be warmer than 40 degrees for more than 2.5 days so I can wear it always.

Oh you didn't know? TN is iced in again. Grrrreeeeaaaattt. I actually got stuck on a rather busy road sideways on my way to work this morning. But I didn't even cry, so win for me.

Army Green and Floral (Hello Spring!!!)

Remember that floral skirt I thrifted a few weekend ago (posted here)? Well here's another way I'm wearing it :)
Expect to see lots of skirts and dresses on here from now on... I don't wear them in the winter much because I'm so cold natured but I wear them all spring and summer long!

Speaking of thrifting, I had some luck this weekend as well...
I'd been wanting a big leather tote for spring (and had been trolling the internet for weeks...) and all the ones I could find were so expensive! 
While Mom and I were at an antique store looking for wedding things, I happened on this beauty:


It's the perfect size, genuine leather.. and $8.
Never give up, kiddos.




I used to wear tons of rings... like one on every other finger at least... but I stopped wearing so many when Caleb and I got engaged, because I wanted to show off that one :) But lately I've been yearning for my rings again, so I'm compromising and going back to my multiple-ring ways on my right hand and leaving my left bare except for my big ol' sparkler.





I found this gem at the same antique store that I got the bag. This baby was only 5 bucks.
Also, I have an interview on Friday! Those of you that are praying people, your prayers would be appreciated!

Cheap V Necks & Old Scarves

Sob Story for the Week: I was in a wreck and few weeks ago and now am carless, so Caleb and I have been using his Jeep - I'll go pick him up and take him to work, drive the Jeep to class, and pick him up from work at 5. We went to visit our parents last weekend, and the Jeep stopped working. So neither one of us had a car. My mom was nice enough to let us drive her car back up to Tennessee, and while I was getting my stuff our of it, I found a forgotten pack of white V-neck shirts, probably meant for my dad or my brother and forgotten in the mad rush of transporting groceries.
It would be a shame for them to go to waste, right?
So here I took one, rolled the sleeves, tied off the bottom, and added wide legged trousers and a headwrap (i.e: old scarf I made into a headwrap using this tutorial) for a comfy boho vibe.
Also the sob story has a happy ending because I'm getting a new car today (well, new to me) and the Jeep was able to be fixed!

And now for Confession Friday:
This week, instead of giving myself the manicure I sorely needed, I just painted a couple more coats of the same color over my nails to hide the chips. Then, when I actually did my nails later and they started to chip from the end the next day, I just clipped off the chipped part rather than redoing them.
